The Problem with No Place For Hate

More than 1,600 K–12 schools, including the Carlsbad Unified School District (CUSD), already participate in the “No Place for Hate” initiative, which aims to address the issue of how to promote respect and combat racism and bullying. This raises concerns about the ideological lens through which it sees the issue and about the strategy it will use to resolve it. “No Place for Hate” contains several admirable objectives, such as encouraging empathy and denouncing bullying.
