On the evening of 03/20/25 The Mission Church (TMC) in Carlsbad hosted an event sponsored by The Christian & Jewish Alliance featuring Dr. Einat Wilf as the speaker. The church’s 650-person sanctuary was half filled with regular Christian believers from TMC’s members and half with Jews visiting from local San Diego area synagogues.
Pastor David Menard of TMC described Dr. Wilf’s presentation as brilliant. He said that with clarity and conviction, she illuminated Israel’s right to exist as a sovereign nation-state and exposed the flawed foundations of the Palestinian refugee ideology.
During the presentation, fifteen to twenty Palestinian protestors gathered on the narrow sidewalk in front of the church entrance on Carlsbad Village Drive. With bull horns, Palestinian flags, and an ugly spirit of contempt for both the Jews and Christians inside, they chanted hateful slogans, hoping to drown out Dr. Wilf’s message. Carlsbad Police were obliged to show up just to make sure that there was no violence on the part of the agitators.
During Dr. Wilf’s presentation, there were at least six agitators who had infiltrated the church’s sanctuary and who at various times tried to disrupt her speech. They stood up and screamed out loudly, accusing Dr. Wilf and her audience of being evil perpetrators of Palestinian oppression and genocide. The church security team gently escorted each of the disruptors to the nearest exit, and Dr. Wilf continued undeterred by the distractions. She told her audience that such disruptions never happen when she is talking only to Jews. However, when she addresses Christians, the demonstrators become frantic because they fear the combined strength in numbers of a national Christian and Jewish alliance.
As a long-time participant among Israeli leadership seeking peace with Hamas and its Palestinian supporters through diplomacy, Dr. Wilf has come to realize that there is no hope for peace. For decades, Hamas/Palestinian leaders have routinely walked away from negotiations no matter what good faith offers were put on the table by Israel. At no time have they ever offered any concessions in return. They have always resisted Israel’s struggle to exist as a sovereign nation-state. They have a long history of relentlessly executing terrorist rocket and suicide bombing attacks, killing innocent Israelis and other civilians without mercy.
Dr. Wilf’s message to Christian believers is that the Jewish State is being systematically branded by a worldwide ideology that equates Israel and the Star of David with a wide spectrum of every kind of evil, from the tyranny of colonialism to racist genocide. The western world’s academia, its democratic government, and global corporate leaders have all embraced this ideology, providing it with a type of prestige that suspends common human judgment. To those anti-Semantic propagandists promoting the ideology the collective Jew stands between humankind and its rightful quest for global utopia. The Jew has become an impediment to world peace and prosperity and therefore must justifiably be irradicated.
Dr. Wilf’s warning to Christian believers is the moral imperative that if we fail to stand up for Israel today, we will be the next scapegoat justifying the same eradication tomorrow.
